Do you see these cars appreciating?

If you have a clean car with no accident history, and it's fully optioned I think they could be going into the $50k range but only after it has dropped to high teens for many years. More like 25+ years
I look at it like the 1986-1991 BMW M3. And now I see the E36 M3 rising.
But also look at the baby Hammer (190E 2.3 16v) it's worth 10-13k at best

Lots were saying the m3 would hold its value because it was the last 8 cylinder m3 but that didnt pan out.
I think because mercedes still has an 8 and its not manual that the odds are against collectible status until 20-30 years old.
As for black series - Over in nz a 2012 c63 with 20,000 miles in immaculate condition with fetch about 30,000 US but a black series equivalent will cost you around 80-90,000 USD.
I think the 507 coupe in magno could be the non black series collectible of choice.

I agree with you there, they'll definitely depreciate before they appreciate. I don't think they will ever appreciate over the price of what they are today though. everyone will be to scared to buy one due to the potential repairs from old age!

Do you REALLY need more power though?
I mean I guess if you HAVE to be the baddest and fastest. But as I'm older now what I've learned, is that there is ALWAYS gonna be someone faster.
You have a work of art in that C63 BS. It'll be iconic just like the CLK63 is in the future.
Leave it be and enjoy it as it is.?😉

We have a German made 6.2L big block. The M3 was a 4.4
There will never be an engine like this in the future thanks to Elon Musk. (Not a shot btw, I think electric cars are awesome)
But the future will involve clean energy and more power than you can get from simple displacement.
However, all your other points
1) 20-30 yrs before price rise
2) price of BS today also 80-90k here in the US
3) 507 coupe in Magno
100% AGREED!!!!

I speak from experience when I say there are few BMW's that will appreciate in value: the 850CSi, the e30 M3, the e46 M3, the e39 M5. Not the newer 6 and 8 series cars. Too fat! Too gimmicky (read complex). IMO, the W204 C63 with the AMG Development Package or the Black Series will appreciate for two reasons: normally aspirated BIG V8 and 6 piston calipers in front and 4 piston calipers in the rear. Most cars today, even the infamous MB AMG GTS, the M5, the M6 and probably the M8's, have a single floating caliper in the rear. Why? Electronic emergency brake...
Now I need to ask a question here. If you have the PARK function and you have an electronic emergency brake, how do you slow the car if you have a power failure? In ours, we have an emergency brake handle so braking can be modulated. In the newer cars you no longer have that capability. Just curious...

In Brazil we've probably hit rock bottom regarding the price, considering inflation and currency at the time of release. But I can't see any road legal naturally aspirated german 6.2 V8 being produced any time soon. If you have one, keep it, that's what I'd say.

The 8cyl M3 is much different than our cars.

Well, if I had to choose between a E92 M3 or a w204 C63, I would not even blink - just look at my avatar. But that does not diminish the M3. It's a pretty nice car, with 400hp+, manual gearbox, RWD, what is it not to like? Considering the date of the project.. I'd trust that as a collectible.

I also agree that the W204 will likely be sought after in about 15-20 years due to nostalgia of being the largest engine to be fitted into this body. The P31 package is the main step up in performance (507 adds some power through ECU management, but it is more a cosmetic upgrade to the P31).
I thought I would be keeping mine forever because I thought it would be unique, but with the potential issues in the facelift and the overheating with tracking (yes, a simple fix), I have decided not to wait things out and just go with a faster car knowing that it will not appreciate like the Supras recently did.

German's stop making NA v8's but America's haven't. The Hemi 6.4, even though it doesn't sound like the 6.2 is one hell of a great performing and sounding motor, and most likely better longevity with out valve train issues that would easily brake the bank to repair on these 6.2 amg's. I actually picked up a 392 Charger since i missed the 6.2 NA sound and fell. Though the 6.4 doesn't sound like the 6.2 amg motor it sure does have a lot of torque and can sure move these heavy Dodge's lol. Dodge did take a lot of good things from Merc when they were merged for those few years. Funny I tried looking for similar firing order or feel as the 6.2 amg has in a newer car, simply because I missed the sound. Engine/Exhaust note to me is almost everything and one of the reason I'm back in another w204 c63. What sucks is there doesn't seem to be a lot of good feelings regarding rebuilding and upgrading these 6.2 motors motor state side let alone overseas compared to America v8's, but that is obvious. Heck just for harden poppet valves and cams, cam adjusters, and other small parts plus labor can be as much as the car alone lol. Sadly imo the motor subject alone will make these cars depreciate more regardless what series c63 it is even with lower miles. If Merc only designed the cams, valves they ride on plus the cam timing plate with harder material these motors would have a better feeling with owners and potential owners. Wondering how many 6.3's 6.2L v8's are actually shippped state side, this will also tell you collectibility

Apples and oranges there, mate. You’re from the USA, where american v8’s will always shine. Not to turn it into political debate, but the rest of the world would twist their nose to that comparison between whatever Dodge fitted with a big V8 and a C63 w204. Incomparable. Apples and oranges. America’s closest car to the C63 is the newest Mustang 350, great performance on track and nice daily feeling with huge tecnology imbued, which is mostly the purpose of the Merc’s C63.
despite all of that, we couldn’t also compare how different markets would behave, considering availability, prices, the hype, etc. I’m pretty confident that here in Brazil we will have some increase of value in the next 5-10 years - or at least it will not depreciate any longer.

I have to say that dodges have arguably one of the best sounds for street vehicles to date. I've traveled around lots this summer (and continue to) but it seems like the 392's are hard to beat.
Also, 55k's have hit rock bottom and theoretically I could see that the 63s would fall below value or sit at/nearby. Let me tell you, shopping for an SL55, their values have fallen a lot but still carry a pretty penny!
