Designo Cashmere White Magno Matte
Any feedback on designo Cashmere White Magno Matte finish on the W222?
Some of you know I have been hunting for S560 or S560e for nearly 6 months one, and I found a pretty loaded one yet with special color (found an S560 and S560e).
Feedback am kindly asking for:
1. The color itself: Designo Cashmere White Magno Matte
2. the idea of 560e vs S560. I drive daily 14 miles, so 560e fits my daily for full EV mode and then gas on long trips, but how about the PHEV 560e itself? The other option I have is S560 V8.

Trying this again... anyone with experience or thoughts on the Matte white color on 560 (Designo Cashmere White Magno Matte)?
Just as an example (not the potential car am buying, but identical exterior) for the Designo Cashmere White Magno Matte:

Love the look of the matte colors but have heard that they are very hard to touch up if you get a scuff or ding.

That finish is a lot more delicate and of course you can't re touch or even buff out a light scratch.

Edit: Is there a special coarse pads or polishing compounds for matte finish?. I understand that standard gloss-finish polishing won't work.

You would create a shinny spot, needing a whole panel repaint and they'll have to do three times but even then they won't get it right and then you just give up and buy another car.

Not sure if this is a sarcastic comment, but what I specifically meant by that is whether there is a more "course" pad and polish specifically designed for matte finish. I guess my imagination extends way too much. Am not a detailer, but smart enough to know that standard gloss-finish polishing compounds would not work. Mainly was looking if there is anyway to remove light scratches.

I like the color / paint; it suites the W222 well. It has a "royal" look in white. I usually don't like matte gray or black.
As others have mentioned, touch-up and detailing is non-existing and repainting can be very difficult. This is a known issue with all matte paints. Otherwise they are very easy to maintain - just wash with special soap and dry!

I stopped by my MB dealer today, I like to swing by on Sundays when they are closed and just walk the lot. They had a magno cashmere white S580 on the lot, its a beautiful color. its really the same color as mine, just matte. That finish is delicate, but it does look great.

Interesting that you are considering a 560e, those are pretty rare beasts. If you drive both, would love to hear your thoughts about how the e compares to the regular 560 ..

I think you will find the 560e really slow in EV mode. I would just get the 560...

Anyway I am not seeing any 560e now, and this week I might be getting the 560 but have to do some negotiations and wait for a third party evaluation before I make the trip of the car condition as am buying out of state.

If you really want a matte finish I would get the color you like and then have it wrapped in a PPV clear matte wrap. Will look the same and much more repairable.

Matte is not that important to me, but it just happened that after months of searching, the car with all the options I wanted has this exterior color. So, in theory I don't mind the color, but I am considering that car because of the options and spec's it has. It just happened that it has this car in particular, which appears to be a nice one in photos. Just did not want to get caught with a bad choice if this Matte finish is a big problem.

No no, not at all, I was just making sure, lol. I appreciate the feedback. I really like the color, while it is not a must have, if I was building a car from scratch, probably I would select it but it is not a must have for me in a pre-owned car. It just happened that both cars am interested in had this color.

So have seen a used matte white in person and it looked shiny in areas that were touched often... I hear no touch washes only and def delicate.
As far as polishing its a no go. I also have seen the ppf wrap in matte and I think thats prb best option and can peel it off if desired.
