How to open the hood? (EQE SUV)
Lots written about opening the hood of EQS's, but it seems that EQE's are different.
Has anyone managed to open their EQE SUV hood? I believe I need to remove the driver's side panel in the picture below.
I've fussed with the two "clip" mechanisms, but without success. Could there be some type of screw or bolt behind that round bit (red arrow)?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

There is a body clip that needs to be removed. It's the thing you pointed to in your arrow. Use a body clip puller, or simply a flathead screw driver. There's an inner circle and an outer ring. Pry out the inner circle, and it should all come out. You only need to pull out the inner pin until it stops, it doesn't have to come all the way out, though it's fine if it does. Then you can open the other two clips.

My car had been serviced and I found the flap on the mat after some driving. Clipped it back on and it has been secure since, minus the body clip. This is what it looks like now.

If you do want to open the hood, remember that the battery is a 400V system which is lethal if you touch it the the wrong way. Electrical cooking is both slow and painful, so be very, very careful if you poke around under the hood!
