Experiences with aftermarket mufflers (CLK 350)

First post here.

I have been looking through countless threads of W209 (specifically CLK 350 - M272) res/muffler delete as well as those who have installed eisenmann/magnaflow mufflers.

I want a bit more noise without the drone I get with a no muffler cruising at 1900-2000 rpm on open roads and city driving. Essentially I want it to be somewhat loud under load.

After some consideration I had a muffler delete done which was way too loud for my liking and as of now I am back to the OEM muffler.

Has anyone had any experience with magnaflow mufflers on their W209 and if so how did it sound during day to day driving.

(I am not looking to do any cat deletes/resonator deletes before anyone asks.)

Go with a Valved Exhaust Setup or even a C63 AMG Muffler.

Although I would love to run a C63 muffler I cannot justify paying that price for it.

I'm young and have more significant fees and was thinking that something along the lines of an aftermarket muffler (specifically magnaflow) would be sufficient enough to produce the sound I want

Do you have valved system or C63 muffler?

I have a Valvetronic muffler kit for my CLK550, Got it with a discount because my buddy owns his own muffler shop. Works pretty great. Most mufflers have technical specs that'd give you a better idea of how loud it'd be.
