Front Accumulator Replacement (2007+ ABC2 System)
Hello everyone,
I'm currently attempting to replace the accumulator on my 2007 SL55 AMG due to a leak issue. After going over a speed bump, I discovered pentosin fluid all over the ground and in the engine compartment, which triggered the dreaded ABC Malfunction message on my dashboard.
I've run into a bit of a roadblock during the replacement process. The front accumulator (Part no: 2213270215) is proving difficult to access due to a bracket underneath the front left that is attached to the valve block. I'm having trouble getting a 27mm wrench in there to detach it (see related photo)
I've considered removing the front bumper to gain access, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this specific model and if there are any alternative methods or tips for accessing the nut without removing the bumper. Most of the resources I've found online are for the ABC1 system, and I believe there were updates made for the ABC2 system in my car.
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated, as I've had trouble finding detailed information on this specific issue elsewhere.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Replacing the cells is a good idea as they age, but what is the actual source of the leak? The accumulator itself is not likely to be the source.

Considering the only fluid that came out was from the ABC reservoir when I went over a bump, I am pretty confident that the diaphram in one of the accumulators gave way. No leakage in any lines that I can tell, which is why I believe the accumulator to be the source.

Ah right, that's what happens. Have you tried removing those three nuts then prising that plate off the valve block and its rubber mounts? My car is ABC 1 and the mount is different, but that looks like that's how it comes off.

I have removed the nuts that are attached but where I am hesitant is prising the plate with those rubber mounts. Are they supposed to be pryed off or is there anything in particular that I should be knowledgable to before taking such action? Just want to be sure I am not doing damage that can't be undone
