Do I need to calibrate the 360 camera system?
Need to replace my mirror housing and will transfer the camera from the old unit into the new one. Do I really need to calibrate the 360 surround system even if I'm using the same camera and just swapping housings? If so, I'll either go to the dealer for calibration or if anyone has a recommendation for a cheap scanner that can put the car into calibration mode, I could go that route to.

Yes you do. Moving the camera will put it out of position so you have to calibrate it for the guidelines to be correct. Below is an older video but gives you an idea of the process.

The best and least affordable scanner is the
LAUNCH X431 Elite 2.0 Pro Bidirectional OBD2 Scanner Fit for Mercedes-Benz MB Sprinter
An can be found here on CReader on Amazon
Taking money out of the decision but still be the most cost effective and recommended is to obtain a Xentry system and sign up with @BenzNija
Benznija website
Benznija, aka Peter, will help you diagnose and repair many problems. Many of us have both.
cReader is great for a quick troubleshoot and Xentry is the most sophisticated tool also used by MB technicians
You can search for both in the E Class forums and get a lot of information.
Good luck.
It's a fairly easy process to recalibrate.
What year is your Benz and motor configuration? Always helpful to include when asking for help.
