Headliner

Hello all,

Need some advice help on a headliner matter, took the Black out for a drive last weekend (windows down the weather was awesome) when i came back i noticed that the headliner material has separated from the headliner itself, meaning the material is sagging, should i try to find the correct Mercedes material and have it re-upholstered or go with Alcantara material, I'm wondering if its going to hurt the resale on the car if i go with the Alcantara.. kind if pissed about it, actually the interior is perfect in my car.. I'm finally ready let the car go soon after 12 years of ownership this will be a sad day for me and it needs to be addressed..

a upholstery shop should be able to repair/reseal the headliner back in place without changing the headliner itself, have you checked in with a upholstery shop yet?

Shops typically don't like repairing the existing headliner and just replace b/c of the extra work involved but keep it oem and but I would look fir a shop that would scrape it down and reuse the fabric

Had the same issue and was able to order a replacement OEM headliner from a Benz dealer at about $1300 if I recall correctly… used a buddy’s employee discount so may be a bit more then that now
