Custom Rims Staggered Setup

Does anyone have any pics or have changed the wheels and tires setup to stagger and different wheel size? I am looking at running 275/40/21 upfront and 295/35/21 in the rear. Rims will likely be 9.0 and 10.5. I just don't know what the offsets will be. I'm not a fan of turbine type rims but more along the line of 8/10 spokes.

How well do EVs operate with a staggered setup? I have no idea if it will be an issue or not but when AMG opts not to put a staggered setup on their Flagship AMG EV it makes me wonder.
Edit: Nevermind the EQE AMG has a staggered setup.

Probably at the least, for looks. I'm thinking about rolling with the Brabus monoblock F. The fronts are 9.0J but it said the optional tire size is 265/40/21 while I prefer to keep it 275. For the rear, I think 295/35 is good. They don't publish the offset

I had taycan gts before which is stagger 9.5 (or 10 dont remember) front and 11.5 rear. as long as your tire ratio is about the same, you should be fine

Good point on the circumference of the front and rear. I have to do more research; I might try to see if I can fit 285/40/21 on the rear of the existing AMG rim, or maybe even 295/40/21 rears and see if will not rub. I think the OE rim are 10.0J x 21 ET 47; 295 might be a stretch on the OE rims.

I have staggered 22s. Based on extensive convos with my tech at MB (who helped me with every step of my mods) the overall tire diameter cannot vary by more than half an inch or it will send electronics crazy. 4Matic or not. I also included my cheat sheet for all the the tire sizes. Hope this helps.

The biggest limitation for a staggered setup is the rear steering. Note the AMG eqs is restricted to 9 instead of 10. Staggered setups look cool but they are a PITA that doesn't offer any performance improvement. In a car which appropriates torque as competently as the EQS, it offers zero advantages. Its also expensive as tires are concerned.

GJH, Plz keep us posted as to any complications you may have after putting some serious miles on. Although if it was blessed by a MB tech you would think it would be fine.

I have 22x10.5" on rears with 305/25/22 tires and have ZERO issues with rear steer clearance etc. The main concern with my particular setup is the overall weight of the vehicle in regards to the weight ratings of the wheels/tires. I chose a very low profile tire setup for the look I wanted and have to be extremely careful around potholes etc. Same as anyone else with 30 series front and 25 rear series tires, however the weight of the car will compound any mishaps quickly. RE: tire wear...I also used lowering links and have a slight bit of camber in the rear causing tire wear on the insides of the tires at a higher rate. Not ridiculous camber like some of the VIP car builds, but just a tad that hasn't been aligned out. If I would have gone with a 35 series front and 30 series rear I would be much less worried about mishaps. Front tires seem to be wearing at a normal rate.

I don't disagree with you from a functional standpoint. From the tire/cost standpoint, the tires are going to be close to the same cost to purchase, but of course you do add cost by not being able to rotate them. OAN: Where I think Mercedes dropped the ball with the EQS is by not understanding why their core audience buys their products. A Mercedes is a WANT, not a NEED. It's a premium priced luxury item. Think Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc... The styling of the EQS line is a complete and utter disregard to the internal vanity aspect that SOME MB buyers have to have to justify the additional cost. Losing a few miles of range to make the car LOOK BETTER would have yielded waaaay better sales results. Having the mods on my car that are, in my estimate, what MB should've offered as options of some sort, is what has been a huge reason I get so many comments like "now that's an electric car I would drive", or "is that really electric? It doesn't look like it". I love my EQS, but I'm a realist and totally understand why non functional mods to make it look better are in bounds for many. Hope this didn't feel like im attacking you personally, this is just a frustration that I've obviously been holding in too long!

Couldn't agree more! They hit a home run with the interior but they needed a body that had much of the styling lines as the original "EQS VISION".
I could care less if the Vision's range was 50-75 miles less and cost another 50K, that car would have been a game changer for MB. They put too much emphasis on drag coefficient.
That said, I still really like my EQS 580 and get quite a bit of positive feedback on its looks.
