2024 GLE450e - Body Flex Noise

We have a new 2024 GLE450e, and have put 1,600 miles on it in the first 6 weeks. We love it, and are especially impressed how seamless and smooth the transition between EV and Gas is. When driving on a regular 150 mile round trip, I run in Hybrid, averaging between 40 and 45 mpg, and the battery lasts almost the entire trip. We also consistently see 55 miles on battery only.

There were 2 small issues when we picked up the car (the release button for unhooking the charging cable popped out of the hole when they were doing our delivery charge, and one of the tailpipe extensions was loose), but the Dealer fixed both perfectly.

The only issue we are having is there is much more "body flex" noises than we expected in an MB. I just dropped off to the Dealership today to have them look at it. As a frame of reference we have a 2019 C300 convertible that is "tighter" than this one. Also, we have driven Lexus RX-350s for years, and this 450e has much more flex noise than any of our RX350s. As a sanity check on what an MB EV should sound like, I asked for an EV loaner today, and they gave me an EQE 350+. It is whisper quiet, with no body flex noise at all.

Just wondering, is anyone else having this issue? I will update this posting after we get the car back from the Dealer and see if the noises are gone.

One thing that impressed me about the 167 chassis was its strength and lack of flexing.
To me it was noticeably better than a Cayenne or Audi.

I don't know if the e version is weaker. I wouldn't think so, and there and I wonder if there's something amiss with yours.

I just hit 40,000 mi. I've abused mine at the track and with some serious off-roading, but I was just noticing this morning that the torsional rigidity is still there, and the car is absolutely silent.
No creaks, groans or rattles.

Maybe look into lubricating or greasing the door seals. Once on my new E63, I used some new cleaning product to detail the car and afterwards every door made horrible noises going over the tiniest bump. I greased the seals and noises went away.

I have owned a 2024 GLE 450e since the beginning of March. No flex noise.

My 2020 350 was quiet as a tomb. the 2023 450 has some creaking noise around the top edge of the doors, probably similar to what you had. What did you use to lubricate the seals ?

I don't know if I've found a good product. I tried dielectric/food grade silicone grease but it didn't work well. Then I tried Blaster silicone lubricant spray, sprayed onto a towel then wiped all sides of the door seals on the door and body, which has lasted for a year. I just got a squeaky seal again in drivers door rear upper corner, really annoying since it's next to my ear. This time I got Blaster synthetic lubricant spray, sprayed the corner of the and that fixed it squeal.

BTW, it's the ceramic hybrid sprays from Meguiars and Turtle Wax I've been using that start causing the seals to squeak after repeated use. Still worth it though.

I use this stuff on the door seals:
