2020 GLE 450 Tires
Hi,
I'm currently running Cooper Discoverer 275/50r20 tires on my GLE and I'm wondering if I can change out to new tires with a longer tirewall so 275/60r20. Can I do that without buying new rims?
My issue is the ride quality so I'm hoping a a longer tirewall may help.
Thanks

275/60's will fit the rims fine, but that's not an insignificant increase in tire diameter. I don't think you'll have any rubbing problems, but I suppose it's possible. Your speedometer will no longer be accurate.
275/55's are probably a smarter option if you can find a tire. Accuracy will still be off, but it will be more reasonable.
285/55's would split the difference in sidewall height while giving you a slightly wider tread.

I should also mention that some tire stores will sell you anything, but some will only sell the OE size. With a change this drastic you might meet resistance. If you decide to proceed, try to find a store that will do a test fit for you. My local Discount Tire searches the company database to see if a specific non-OE fitment has ever been sold and successfully fit. If there is no history of the fitment but they're reasonably sure it'll work, they usually test fit one tire for me.

This W212 thread below talks about using a Creader to input your tire size, which could correct your speedometer with the installation of different sized tires. Has anyone had any luck doing this on v167?
