2008 CLK350 suspension noise
I changed all the control arms and bushings on this 2008 CLK350, that I got, after driving my wifes for a couple of years. I liked it so much, I bought me one. It's not as nice as my wife's car, because it has a few dents and sloppy paint repairs. I should have left the sway bar bushings on it. But since I was just replacing everything, I went ahead and replaced those bushings, too. I wasn't sure why they seemed either glued on or melted on, so it took a bit to get the old ones off. Now, the new ones slide side to side and make noises when I drive it. Was I supposed to glue them in place? They did come with a small package if silicone grease.

You're in the CLK AMG forum and you, more than likely, won't get much of a response from this forum's members. You will be more successful in finding help for your suspension issue in the regular non-AMG CLK320/350/430/500 Forum since there are many more US imported production units from 1996 to 2010 totaling some 233,000 with the CLK55 AMG Coupe totaling 4,327 and CLK55 Cabriolet totaling 2,964 units; with the CLK63 AMG totaling and 349 units.
Hopefully, you'll get many responses to your issue.
Good luck and let the respective forums' know what you found and the fix solution.

Thank you for your reply. I saw the (W208 W209), since mine is a W209, I thought it was the right one. I need to search for that proper one to post it. 👍🏻

Okay, I made a modification. It seems to work fine. I welded a washer that was cut in half, to act as a stopper, onto the sway bar. It was a little crooked, so I heated the crooked one and tried to straighten it with a hammer. Then it was like a U that needed filled in a little. I welded it up and ground it to the proper shape/position that I needed, then greased it up and I stalled it. Now that I know it works, I could remove it, clean it up, paint it and put it back on. Then it would look a little nicer. LOL
I accidentally got the same one at a different angle on here twice, but you get the idea of what I did here.
