Aloha guys. Can anybody tell me what is the appx. length or distance from the bottom of the pan to the top of dipstick tube?

I have the trans dipstick but I have a feeling that dipstick end, the end that goes into trans pan is too flexible and it's bending and sink into trans pan. When I push the stick in and felt that first contact, I don't have any fluid on the stick end. Push little more, maybe an inch or so, then I see the fluid but that extra inch may be pushing it little too hard and submerging into the fluid in the pan.

Anybody?

I don*t drive much. When I find some one with the same car, I will ask and make a few pictures next to a tape messure about and post them here. I would be super happy when You would do the same.

The dipstick tool with the black plastic end on it does not hit the bottom of the pan. If you look at the top of the black plastic piece you will see a diamond shaped area just below the metal. The diamond is meant to hit a stop near the top of the transmission to keep the tip from hitting the pan bottom. Push as hard as you need to to get it all the way in.
