If you dont have keyless go you can go for a month or two. If you do have it, at least start every 2 weeks as the car computer is always searching for the signal. If ypu will not use the car for a long time, get a battery trickle charger with maintenance mode.

owners manual covers this well - well mine 2015 manual does.
Something like at least drive it every within 2weeks - not just crank it but drive it for a while
If it sits for over month use a trickle charger -

Starting the car isn't enough. If you're not using a trickle charger, you need at least a 30-minute drive every week or two, especially if you want to avoid flat spots. If you're not driving for a few months, perhaps put it on jacks for longer-term storage to avoid flat spots.

I store my X7 for several months during the winter, and use a 2A battery maintainer, jack stands to lift about 3/4 of the vehicle weight off the tires, a rubber mat to keep the tires off bare concrete, and a car cover to keep dust off it.
