Possible Body control module problems

What are the pre-emptive signs of an impending body control module failure? On a recent trip I got a 'memory malfunction' error but it didn't set a CEL. I was getting doubtful outside temp readings but I understand that the 230 body has strong heat soak problems. Does this sound like
a BCM impending failure?

The R230 does not have a body control module. The memory malfunctions are usually a light out, low fluid level, something like that. Outside temperature is usually the sensor or it's wiring. It sits in the lower bumper on the left side.
