oil filter: Purflux OE?
Hey all, sorry if this is well-worn info that I've missed, is it true that Purflux the genuine OE oil filter? Found the Purflux on FCP Euro (which they state is OE for '14 E350 gas) and I'm just looking to shave off a few bills this time around compared to dealership prices. Thanks!

Is Perflux an OE filter supplier for MB? Yes.
Did the make the original filter for your car? No way to know without inspecting the original filter.
Currently MB replacement part filters from my local dealer for my engine are Mann.

I've used Mann for Volvo and Porsche, but for the MB the Mann had straight sides and didn't have the zigzag of the original which seems like less surface area. And who knows what else is different! I think I'm good with the Purflux. Big thanks for the info, gents ...I appreciate it!

I did not watch the video but notice the alternate part number on the Mercedes filter is the same part number for the Purflux filter (L394) in the video thumbnail. Purflux is all I use for my two cars (M276 engines). Also, check the video at 5:15 and you'll see the dual marking on the Mercedes filter matches the part number on the Purflux filter. I used to use Hengst or Mann with my M113 engine in my SL500, but that was a different generation of motors.
