Radio & Media are at different volumes
Good afternoon everyone,
I wanted to see if anyone has a fix for this. I notice there is a very large difference in audio when I'm listening to the radio or media from my phone. In the media volume lower so I need to turn it up to get it to the same level as the radio however, when switch back to radio the volume is vastly louder (sometimes shockingly so). I can't seem to find any settings to adjust these volumes independently.
Any suggestions?

I don't know if this helps but mine (2016 GLE with the Harmon-Kardon audio) is the same way. I've concluded that there's some difference in the input circuits for the media that doesn't amplify the "media" input to the same level as the radio.

Yes, it's typically your phone media volume is too low, and you should be able to adjust the output volume on your phone. With that said, I can easily do on my Android but my Apple, well, they don't make it as easy, and I haven't dug into how to do it.

In spite of all that, my vehicle audio levels still differ between the radio and the telephone, with the radio being louder.

I'd assumed that the OP had already done that, which was probably not a good assumption. On my iphone you adjust the audio output volume with the buttons on the left side (the same ones used to adjuest the ringer volume). iphones also have settings that limit the maximum volume that the phone puts out, These settings are in the "Settings/Sounds and Haptics" menu. Once in the Sounds and Haptics, scroll down and click the "Headphone Safety" selection. You'll find a "Reduce Loud Audio" option that you can turn off.
In spite of all that, my vehicle audio levels still differ between the radio and the telephone, with the radio being louder.

I checked the headphone safety settings in mine were already off. Other than that I don't see any other audio settings. I see when I plugged in the phone that the audio volume goes to Max so it appears that there's not much more to control. I also have issues with,(and it did this on my 2016 GLE as well) where my shuffle and repeat buttons will randomly become disabled and/or it will take me out of the playlist I'm in and start me at the very top of the list (alphabetically) of the songs on my phone. FYI, I'm connecting with a USB cable and not through Bluetooth.
