Widest on stock 18s? 275? 285?
Time to swap all four. Looking into options, thought about going a bit thicker if possible for the rears, keeping 255 for fronts. I drive daily and year round (unless very bad snow/ice) so need all season, good tread wear and good dry grip.
How wide are folks going on stock 18s? Base model, no suspension work.
Thank you in advance..

Depends on the width of your OE 18" wheels, wheel width compatibility of tires you choose and suspension clearance. Staggered setup prevents tire rotation which will compromise treadwear, and possibly treadwear warranty. Staggered setups are a PITA.

Rears are 18" by 9" and a 275 will fit.
But you can source some CLS rear wheels that are 9.5" wide from Ebay and put a 285/35/18 and it will fit perfect as I have that set up. I than moved the factory rears to the front and run 275/35/18 and the car looks nice and "fat" !!

The rear wheels are 9'', 285 would not look right so stuck with 275s.
I went with a 275/35/18 rears and 245/40/18 fronts.
I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Never tried these tires, but I have heard great things so giving it a shot. Hope I don't end up in a ditch in the rain/colder months haha!

Bought SL-500 rims, same style as the E55's.They are wider rims. 255/40/18's up front and 285/35/18's on the rear. I use Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons.
