C230 AC Fan takes time to start
Hello
I am facing an issue with my C230 (230,000+ KM mileage) AC fan. When I start the car, turn the AC on, the fan takes time to start, sometimes between 5-20 minutes, it's random, when it starts it hasn't failed again so far. If I turn of the car and turn it back on, the fan works fine, if I turn of the car for a while, then initial problem reoccurs.
I took the car to an AC specialist at the gas station, he opened beneath the glove compartment and checked something there then told me its the AC FAN BLOWER ASSYMBLY, he said once he gave it a nudge the fan started to work, according to him the components inside the blower are faulty and it should be replaced.
Any feedback on the issue would be appreciated. Should I conduct further tests?

Might be time for a new blower motor for your hvac system. There is a electronic controller that goes along with the blower that controls the speeds for the auto and Manual mode. I would suggest you replace them both they are really easy to replace yourself with minimal tools.

The AC technician mentioned the following along with the blower motor, a 'Resistor Block', would that be the electronic controller you mentioned?

I’m going to guess yes but without the specific vehicle info i dunno for sure. Check online and you should see the part i would assume listed in the area of the blower motor. My blower and block are both together and the blower plugs directly into the block. If i remember correctly all it took was a T20 torx to do the whole job.

This is what comes up from one of the local MB parts suppliers, MERCEDES C CLASS AC BLOWER 2048300008 | W204 AC BLOWER (awawdeh.ae)

I’m unable to lookup your vin it gives me a error and i don’t see any c230 listed in 2008.
i found this diagram to kinda show you where it should be located. You will see the cabin air filter and near that is part 90 which is the blower motor and part 100 which is the controller/resistor.
The part that you listed above when i look it up it appears to be a blower that goes inside the center console possible for rear Heat and ac.
