Change side amber light to LED….car won’t start
Guys: I’m baffled. This is my 2013 AMG C63 W204, stock, 80k miles.
I changed the right front quarter panel amber light to LED bulb. This is the small light above and front of the front right tire/wheel-well.
Car did not like this change from normal bulb to LED bulb:
-car won’t start with push button.
-car won’t start with push start button removed and using the key.
-when I say “won’t start” I mean there is nothing: no sound, no movement of any starting components.
-can’t roll up windows.
-initial dash display still works; but not the 2nd in line dash display (pushing the start button twice)
-at first, dash said “replace key battery” which I did to no effect.
-brake pedal feels very tight, much tighter than normal.
-oddly, the rotational headlight-control knob to the left of steering wheel works: I can still turn on/off the amber lights
We checked all breakers in the box to the far upper right (from perspective of standing in front of the car, looking into the engine bay): all seemed fine.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? I’m sure you’ll have questions and need more data; please ask.
Appreciate your time.

Problem Solved! It wasn’t the new LED bulb. The steering wheel was turned too far to one side and locked awkwardly, messing up the car starting sequence. Shook the steering wheel until it loosened up.
All good.
Thanks
