2012 Mercedes ML350 Bluetec diesel losing power when driving up hill
HI everyone,
Reaching out for some advice.
I own 2012 Mercedes ML350 BlueTEC. It was running fine and lately, started encountering a problem while driving.
When driving on the motorway, the car performs fine on flat terrain. Occasionally, as soon as I start going uphill, the power drops significantly and seems to stay that way for a long period of time
The only way it goes back to its normal mode is if I pull up, switch off the engine and restart in about 5 minutes. Then it goes back to normal driving.
This has happened quite a few times now over the last month. I had sent it to a workshop and the computer could not diagnose any fault. They even kept it for a week and drove it around and it did not happen.
This does bother me. Hope someone will be able to provide some advice. This will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Carl

Sounds like it is going into limp mode.
Limp mode will set a code.
You might need a better code reader than a cheap one, but there's one to be found when it happens.
Unless you're just running out of fuel.
