M276 Engine Help removing crankshaft cover

M276 Engine Help removing crankshaft cover

I need to remove the crankshaft cover (hoping to remove with most pulleys and stuff I've already fixed staying on) but can get out the woofruff key so was advised to remove timing cover, but can't for the life of me find any ways of removing them for a M276 engine, if anyone can help that be much appreciated thank you!

That is the main instruction sheet, but it references other procedures. Let me know if you need the references in steps 1, 2, etc.

thank you! It just says unclipped ac compressor not take it out? So just should be good we without unscrewing it?
Do you happen to have one with which bolts I specifically need to remove? Cause I know there's some bolts that don't need to be removed which is what confuses me. Thanks again

Here are all the cross-referenced documents. It does not appear that the A/C compressor is in the way.

Apologies i mislooked at it. Got pretty much everything off except the Power steering pump, do you got any instructions for that? I can't find any other attached bolts

okay, got the steering pump off, everything if off and unscrewed, what is the safest way to remove the cover now?

I believe the gasket is a sealant, so will be on tight. Have to carefully pry it off. Im not really much help.

Any other advice please, still stuck as glue on there, I've tried 2 different dead blow hammer, crow bar, nothing.

Hey, if you're still here, how did you end up removing the cover? I removed all bolts, but can't get cover to come off. Did you just use blow hammer longer? or any other tricks to let it off?

Drain the coolant first, then remove the viscous fan, serpentine belt, and front accessory brackets. Loosen the oil pan bolts along the front where it meets the timing cover, remove the valve covers, then you can access all timing cover bolts. For the Woodruff key use a proper harmonic balancer puller tool and note the M276 crank bolt is a stretch bolt so get a replacement before reassembly. Grab a Mitchell1 or ALLDATA manual for your exact vehicle as the M276 has hidden bolt locations easy to miss.

Thanks. I did all that. All bolts are removed, instead of valve covers, I removed upper timing covers and loosen two bolts on each side. I compared to m276 timing covers on ebay and confirmed there are no bolts.
