C219 steering wheel upgrade questions

I’m looking to upgrade my wheel to something with at least paddles, as mine is the wood-trim non-paddle wheel. If I upgrade to the same year and “model” except it has paddles will they work or will I have to buy a controller or solder/wire it differently? Also if I were to upgrade to a newer wheel (I’ve seen w205,w222, and same-gen AMG63 wheels being used) would I have to find a controller (only ones I’ve seen are from Russia) or could I solder it or is it plug and play

checkout RUcarbon on Instagram (my page) we do newer wheel upgrades all the time

as for paddles. If you don’t have paddles of any sort buttons paddles you won’t be able to easily install them. Few threads on here regarding the install, honestly more trouble than it’s worth

I’ve looked at a lot of your sw today I love them but I can’t see myself getting that fancy of a wheel unless I had an AMG I wish you sold the controller/wiring separately. And I thought if you don’t have paddles and get a wheel with them Mercedes could code them in or however the term is.

unfortunately not, there’s a ton or work that needs to be done to get the paddles working. Plus coding

There Are too many aftermarket buttons and other hardware out there. My controllers only work with oem hardware. Iv had people buy my controllers before and then complained how things weren’t working, come to find out they cheaped out on some aftermarket garbage.

we have plenty of clients buying amg wheels for non amg cars, don’t think you’d be the only one food for thought.
