2026 AMG GLE 63 S
I had consistent harsh downshifts (3→2 and 9→8) in Comfort mode from delivery. The dealer diagnosed fault P089300 (“multiple gears engaged simultaneously”) and replaced the valve body/controller.
During inspection, there was visible metallic debris on the magnetic filter (not excessive per dealer, minimal sludge in the pan). Required multiple adaptation attempts and flushes before passing, now shifting correctly.
Curious if anyone has had a similar valve body failure with debris present — and specifically whether the repair fully resolved things long-term or if any issues developed later.

However, debris is a problem.

I am now without my brand new $145K car, waiting for a part, and in the back of my mind I am wondering what long term damage may come out of this.
I have a case open with MB, but they won't do anything until after the car has been fixed. Pretty ridicules.
