Hi all,

2019 s560 rwd. I am hearing unusual noise from engine bay. Sounds like EV vehicle accelerating Starting 20 mph, most pronounced around 25 mph and goes away over 30 mph.

not AC related, not engine rpm related.

anyone experienced this before?

I am hearing it when I give slight throttle input. Otherwise no noise around that speed

 

Find a safe place to do this. At the speed that the noise is happening turn the steering wheel left and then right and listen to see if the noise goes away. If it does you need a new front wheel hub bearing. VERY easy to replace.

 

If you’re eliminating the motor as a source to include electronic components, you’re left with rotational trans and driveline which includes hub assemblies/bearings per Katie22.

Noise occurs with a/c on off?

Car mileage?

 

I have the same year and engine. At a modest (20-45 mph) cruise or light low speed accelaration I hear a slight wooshing type sound. If I accelerate quickly or am completely off the pedal, the noise goes away. I beleive it to be the inlet air passing over the turbo impellars.
If this is what you are experiencing, it is nothing to worry about.
