It always seemed like an oversight, my wife's Jetta has the ability but we lacked it. Now, MB has introduced temperature control in the app REMOTE START > TEMPERATURE. I never read the "messages" section in the app, but today I did and it mentioned the feature. Now you can set the temperature of your car before remote starting it so the car is as cold or as hot inside as you want. About time.

 

Yes, I think it was added about 7 weeks ago. I wish the car did not shut off after a remote start and you unlock it.

 

Ha. Here I was all excited because I was just complaining about this feature. I agree, again my wife has a Jetta and she was able to control climate and not have the car cut off when you unlock the door. I think she just has to push the push start button with the key fob nearby.
