2020 G550 Braking Feel
Hello, I'm new to the G-Class. I've been driving a C55 for the past 17 years, so getting to know the car and its quirks. Loving every bit of it.
When I apply the brakes gently, as the car comes to a full stop and I release the brakes further to achieve a soft stop, I feel some judder in the brakes. It's not as smooth. Is this normal or something I should look into?
It almost feels as if ABS is engaging but obviously isn't because of the low speed and gentle brake application.
The car is completely stock with about 28K miles on it.

My '19 G550 with about 28K on it has never exhibited any abnormal braking behavior -- no squealing, shudder or shimmy.. Do you know if the brake fliud has been changed every 2 years? Wear indicators will provide a warning when pad thickness approaches replacement. You can have a brake shop or MB dealer inspect the pads and rotors, or do it yourself.

It could be warped rotors, but typically you'd feel the same judder (pulsating) on the pedal at other times during braking. It could also be brake pad compound collected on parts of the rotors that the pads are reacting to. Much cheaper problem because you can sand/clean the rotors to fix it.
