Cooling fan

Cooling fan
Anyone have there cooling fan adjusted to come on sooner and run faster with a tune? Did the thermostat so now need the fan to run faster. My tuner said he can make it come on sooner but not faster??

No I do not. But these engines really run warm compared to my E55 that I race so getting the water temp down seems the most logical from my experience.
My son owns/drives the car and always reports temperatures to me in different driving conditions so water was the direction I was going.
Also his car has two oil coolers,standered front mount and one on the passenger side and also noticed it has no fan on it.

Good to know on the fan always on but cold temps could be an issue come winter time. Not that its always driven in very cold weather and never in the dead of winter but still needs to warm up.
I have to get the car to me so I can start plotting out my next move.
Thinking a fan on the secondary cooler always on ?? I have one that fits perfect.
Also I just thought of this, maybe with my STAR computer I can adjust the fan like my E55 so going to have to look.

Tuners can switch it to run all the time or come on at a lower temperature. Dealers can set "desert mode" which does the same thing.

I am going to do over the "snorkle" in front of the oil cooler and make it much bigger to grab more air so this should make a difference with oil temps.
Contacted the guy that builds the bigger oil cooler and it's 4-5 weeks to build plus shipping to me.

Going to have my DRLs wrapped when I get some Chrome rewrapped due to rock chips, so losing them would be ideal.
