Subwoofer amplifier wiring question

Hi all, so I recently got a set of subwoofers and the amplifier to go along with them and wanted to know how to wire the amplifier to the electrical/battery. I've seen some posts on how to install one, but all those cars had the smaller auxiliary battery in the trunk area but mine doesn't and I wanted to know how to run the wiring to the main battery up in the front of the car and if there were any diagrams or something similar about that. Any help is appreciated!

(The amp in question is a Taramps Bass 1200 if that helps)

I never installed an aftermarket amp in a Mercedes but in other cars I looked on the firewall in the engine bay for existing wires and fished it thru there. It was usually on the drivers side near the steering column.

My Mercedes battery is on the passenger side in the engine bay. Cant say I have seen any wires thru the firewall in that area but then again I never really looked.

There isn’t really a convenient firewall pass-through for this.

The cleaner route may be to exit through an existing trunk grommet/pass-through, run the power cable forward under the factory underbody shielding, and fuse it close to the main battery.

Just make sure the cable is properly sized for the amplifier, protected in conduit/abrasion sleeve where needed, clipped securely along the route, sealed at the pass-through, and kept away from exhaust heat, sharp edges, suspension parts, or anything moving.

I would definitely not run an unfused cable all the way from the front of the car. Fuse close to the battery for safety.

I did a system in my Wagon a few months ago not a hard job. Just make sure you have trim removal tools
I ran my powerline through the firewall

Under the hood behind the battery, there’s a factory hole on the firewall that goes into the passenger foot well
After removing the battery, you’ll notice a opening leading into the passenger footwell.
