2009 GL450 - Issue; Radio Not Shutting Off With Opening of Driver-Side Door
Hi,
I have a GL450 and use a key FOB with the push start. When I have turned off the car in the past, when I open the driver-side door, the radio and other electrical screens shut off immediately. Recently this has been hit or miss. If I sit in the car and open the door, the radio will stay on. If I decide to shut the door and open again it will go off. This is an intermittent thing. Sometimes I open the door the 1st time. everything shuts off. Other times I need to close and open the driver-side door again to get everything to shut off. Does anyone have any idea what this might be or if it's an easy fix? I'd appreciate any help I can get with this matter. Thanks in advance.

The link @vesiadog posted is good. One lesson therein: You can have multiple causes simultaneously. In fact, it is almost likely, as problems tend to cascade. Get a good scan tool and see what the various modules have to say about the situation.
Also, whenever you have electrical problems, make sure the electrical supply, both battery and alternator, are good.
