Oil pump chain catching
Hi all,

please see below imagine and your thoughts.. the upper and lower oil pans were removed so the mechanic could change all the O rings in the oil pump. He sent me this picture, saying the oil pump chain has been catching and I need to do timing chain?

could you guys please advise?

I would need more information to understand why a timing chain would cause this. I know they're on the same pulley network but I really don't understand how the timing chain would cause this.
