Please see attached photos. First time this occurred on Friday June 5th, after working in the morning, the car was outside. I got back in the car after about 4 hours of work, and was driving and this came on. The ambient lights were still on, just had this notification. I parked the car for about 10 minutes, and everything was ok. Figured things happen.
Then today (after the car being outside at my gf's house all night), the same thing as soon as I went about a mile down the road. Got out, parked the car, locked it, and got back in and all good! Went on the highway to test it and put the blinker on with the car in my blind spot. The ambient lights turned red, and the left side worked fine...right side did too, but then when the right signal light was returned to the normal position, The entire front ambient bar (and doors) were blinking slowly in and out. Again, I parked the car, locked it. restarted it, got a car wash as I do every Sunday, and so far so good. Even went back on the highway and tested both sides, and all good.
Anyone know? I'm due for service in about a month so gonna mention this when I bring it in but seems like just a crazy glitch no?

I had that happen a few occasions, the fix was keep the 12V battery charged, does your MB app show partially charged or something?
Thanks! It does show as fully charged on the app. But I didn't think to check it when it happened. Hopefully, it doesn't happen again but I'll be sure to check that if it happens again.

When I had my S550, I remember the aux battery needing to be replaced about 2-3 times. My car is almost two years old and about 15,000 miles. Maybe it needs to be replaced soon. The car is my daily driver.

Hmmm it could be but also not likely because I took delivery 3 months ago as a new 2026 model year vehicle and this happened after I drain the battery playing with the mbux features and waiting for someone. A couple of times, sure enough I checked my app and battery says partially charged.
Aux battery on these vehicles is really just a voltage converter/supercapacitor right?

I am considering using my CTEK if I am parked for a few days to keep the juices flowing, not sure if it is necessary but honestly I only have an issue when parked outside waiting for someone playing some tunes with the ambient lighting on music visualization mode.
