C63 2012 stalls on D and R

Hi guys, need some help. W204 c63 2012 mct

Just tried putting it into D and the car turns off (stalls) same thing happens in R. It feels like when you drop clutch suddenly and it stalls. No fault codes.

The Mechanical Clutch is coming on and killing the engine. Could be the unit itself or valve body control.
Pull codes with good scanner and check fluid as well.

No fault codes with good scanner. Fluid looks nice. No metal or magnetic debris.

I experienced the same issue as you—every time I shifted into D, the engine would stall.Before that, I had an even worse symptom. As the car was coming to a stop, it would shake violently and eventually stall. At first, I could restart the engine and continue driving, but later the problem became more severe and it would stall immediately whenever I selected D.We first replaced the wet start-up clutch pack and cleaned the valve body. After that, the engine no longer stalled when shifting into gear, but the car still wouldn't move.In the end, replacing the valve body with a used OEM unit completely solved the problem.

This is why keeping transmission fluid looking like new is so important. Doing a drain and fill every year or two is your best combat against issues and is cheap insurance. Any contaminants in the fluid act as sandpaper to the valves and bores so if the fluid stars to look darker/dirty in color, change it but it should be changed long before it gets to that point.

Thanks for help guys. I cleaned the valve body and solenoids. All solenoids were clogged up. It looked like clutch material/fibre. Waiting for new wet clutch to arrive.

Like I said change that fluid !!! I have been an Automatic transmission rebuilder for over 36 years and can tell you consistantly that lack of fluid changes is the number one cause of issues.

Speaking of the debris in the valve body, it's actually most likely material coming from the 722.9 transmission housing. The coating inside these transmissions is known to flake off over time, and those particles can circulate through the system.That's why I think it's very important to replace the ATF and transmission filter regularly. I ended up losing a valve body because of this issue.
