560 SEL engine suspension
Hi. Im in the middle of 560 SEL restorration. Which manufacturer do you guys recommend for engine suspension parts? Lemforder, Febi Bilstein, Mercedes Benz OEM? Does anyone know who was making these parts for Mercedes in the past? Lemforder and Stabilus? Below are prices on Poland.
Paris numbers are:
A1232413013, Febi is cheap, about $20-30 (dont know about quality), OEM $120. need two.
A1162400418, febi / lemforder for about 10-15 USD, OEM $97. need one.
A1262400548 / A1262401048, OEM $60, aftermarket for about $40 USD (Febi), Stabilus $70. need two.
OEM parts are quite expensive but these were made a long time ago and they are just sitting in warehouses are NOS. Maybe some of the modern manufacturers are making these parts better?
Or maybe these mercedes NOS stuff is still good ?
Please advise which one would you use. the car is a collector's car, AMG 6.0 16V engine. its not going to do more then 1000km per year.

If you plan to sell to another collector at some point, they would value keeping it maintained with Mercedes parts, regardless of what is 'best'.
