Lubing door hinges

I've used Blaster White Lithium Grease (or any other W.L.G).
Use a small "drop cloth" behind the hinges to capture the excess spray.
I always open the door all the way, spray a little, then move the door to the next bump , spray a little more.
Then do the opposite ... open door a little at a time, spray, open a bit more, etc.
Then move the door open to closed to open a few times to ensure the grease works all around.
If you find the spray with a built-in "thin spray straw", get it.
Otherwise, be sure the lube you get does have a straw scotch-taped on that you can snap on the nozzle.
Alternatively, you could skip the spray can and get a small jar/can/tube of white lithium grease and apply it with a little acid/solder brush. May be less messy and provide heavier duty (thicker) lubrication.

My W126 had grease fittings. Many older cars had a slot milled in the pin that extended up through the head. a couple of drops of oil and all was good.
I just figured since it's listed as a maintenance item, there would be a procedure.
