Intake Spacer Kit what are your thought
Hey everyone - I've seen people speak of the spacer kits in both it does nothing and it does something and the stock intakes are best bet etc, Im in the camp of stock intakes are not but I also cannot fathom spending $2399 on the modal works intake system which I have vetted and agree its a big deal of an upgrade especially for a stage 2 or 1 tune.
but reality is $2400 absurd so I am curious. Has anyone installed the intake spacer kit, does anyone have any opinion on them whether its the M157 or M278 and if you do have it did it add "more air" ( i put that in quotes because that can be subjective)
I may pull the trigger and see and for $270 I can say I have spent money on worse things but if someone here has a favoring opinion on them id be curious to your thoughts.
I looked at BlackBoost but for the price and considering we would still use the same charge pipe connect to the turbo and its size I cannot justify 2 filters and plastic fittings for 6? pieces?

i would agree, - i'm a little biased because on my stage 2 M278 i feel like anything is better then nothing but I sent a low ball offer for these spacers and if i get them I will install and report back, I hate to be that guy who throws randoms HP numbers with no dyno evidence to back it up but I do think and I don't need to be roasted in my comment but I do believe by adding spacers with what i've seen in my research on the M157 or M278 whether its FB group chats or this forum or youtube and reddit etc, 10-15hp (more like 10) is reasonably realistic in gains, I have the aftermarket filters which if I didnt I could expect 15-20hp maybe a tad more but if my offers accepted ill be the judge to whether or not it was money wasted
