So the story is that front drive shaft u-joint broke and took transmission cooler hard line and o2 sensor with it. O2 sensor is the easy one obviously but the trans cooler line is another story. Part # is 2112701896, its pre-bent and its hard steel entire lenght. Because it's 4matic it has front dif and so "much" space i have no clue how one will go in. I'm curious if anyone have any info how to feed new one in, or maybe did it and can guide me where to start. I took the alternator off but that didn't help much. Next might be starter but I would rather not touch it since im in New England end everything it's little crusty down there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
So I talked to friend who is mechanic at the dealership and asked him if there is special way to install it. Per WIS it requires dif removal in order to gain room and pays 7.6h to do it at the dealer. After talking to older mechanics they suggest to split the line into sections.
The litle $10 90deg compresion union saved me probably 10h of work and alignment at the dealer bcouse in order to take the differential out i would need to take cv-axle out and drop the steering rack and the subframe.
