You need to send a pm to forum member AMGfaninVA to include a short history of your military service and request the Navy icon be added to your avatar.
Texas Application for Military Meritorious Service Plates
For those living in Texas, Active Duty, Retired, or former member with proof of honorable discharge, submitting a VTR-421 military license application with proof of award (MSM or above) will result in Texas providing you a custom plate with image of your award (i.e. Bronze Star, Air Medal, Soldier's Medal, etc) and no-cost vehicle registration for your primary car *for the rest of your life*! And when you die, if married, your surviving spouse inherits that same no-cost registration for the rest of his/her life.
Pretty good deal for military members. VTR-421 is available for download online.
