SL/R129: iPod nano connection to sterio?
Is there any such auxiliary connection in the 1999 SL?
My wife has recently purchased a iPod nano unit for her music.
Has any one used the iPod "Cassette Insert Adaptor" thing that is sold in stores? Does it produce good sound?
It would be nice to get away from having to change the CDs regularily.
2) Iwould not call myself an audiophile ... but I am very happy with the quality of music that comes from the sterio system (Bose was standard I think).
What do you think?
Some people (R230 or R129 forums?) have complained about "muddy" mid-range. Iguess my hearing is not as discerning as some.
If you're using MP3, the quality of the sound is going to be limited more by that, less by the car stereo. I use Apple Lossless and have a few of the nifty Squeezeboxes from www.slimdevices.com which provides a wireless connection from your PC to play the same music library over your home stereo. In my case, 800 CDs instantly available, great quality and no more CDs cluttering up your home.
