1998 sl 500 silver/black

any thoughts

We bought our sl500 1998 64000 miles from a used car dealer and purchased an 48 month extended warranty...we have made an appointment with a mercedes dealer for a complete inspection and all the suggested oil changes, brake fluids, filters, etc as well as new spark plugs...there is no indication that any scheduled work has been done since 2003....are we doing the appropriate measures to care for our car???...the cost is about 1500. Thanks for any input.

I would have the car inspected by reputable independent shop.
Warranty or not I stay faaaaar away from dealer.

I agree totally. Ask around and find an independent who's comfortable with these vehicles and a good communicator, you'll be better off in the long run.

Thanks for the input

I took your advice and found a certified independent foreign car service familiar with my car. He guarantees he will only do the necessary work to maintain the car and avoid needless excess costs.
