I agree that it seems to work well. Mine was yellowed and aged with scratches from soft top use only. I had good results after the first application. Seems to soften the plastic, but it could be my imagination.

Not super clear, but still a big difference. I think if it's used each time you detail the car, the plastic will eventually clear up fairly well. I don't think deep scratches will ever come out though.

Pledge furniture polish can remove yellowing and adds back plasticizers. Don't use the lemon scented because the citric acid is bad for the windows. Also place a long, thin, soft cotton towel in the crease of the window fold to minimize creasing and scratching. Do this when the window raises up to fold when putting the soft top down into its storage compartment.

that's a great idea...8 years owning an SL...never though of that..only downside is you have to get out of the car half way each time

Plexus
Used on aircraft canopies, boat vinyl, motorcyle helmet face shields, and even my plastic lenses in my eye glasses.

Be careful when doing aircraft canopies - the static will surprise you when buffing it out.

Shake the can, spray it on heavy, and buff with a very soft cloth. The yellow ones at wallyworld work best for me.

Has anyone tried using Auto Glym glass polish for the rear plastic? I've got some but haven't got round to trying it yet.
