Mercedes SL 500
Slow Top 99 Sl500
I am assuming that my hydraulic fluid is running low. top is gettting slower and noisier when it operates. Where is the resevior (sp?) and what type of fluid does it take? Sorry, new guy

The reservoir is in the trunk, under the spare tire. If low, use only MB's branded fluid from the dealer or Febi Hydraulic Fluid, p/n 02615 (same stuff, less expensive) Only fill to the line on the tank.
If the fluid is indeed low, since it doesn't evaporate, you must have a leak somewhere.
