Where is the "accident fuel cut off" reset inertia switch in a 1990 300SL?
Could anyone be so kind as to tell me just where I may find the "accident fuel cut off" aka reset switch aka inertia switch I hear and read about - in my 1990 300SL?
I had a minor accident and now the car won't start althought the car has 1/2 tank of gas and the battery is fine [clock is still telling correct time etc]
I can't find any reference to the switch or its location in the owner's manual.
Thanks in advance!
Doug

I have had the car stop and not run. A benz mechanic told me to disconnect the negative terminal and wait. I don't recall the time, however after a day of work I reconnected and after the steering wheel full Right and left the warning lights went off and the car engine was back to full function. My car has only the emergency gas filler opening knob above the battery. I have never used it!
Hope you find a solution
