Hello, I have cracked my front bumper on my 91 300 SL on one too many parking stones. The car's front end is about one inch lower than that height of most parking lot parking stones. Is it possible to raise the front end about an inch without seriously effecting the perfromance and handling of the car? How many of you have had this or a similar problem and what have you done about it. Is there a way to reinforce the backside of the front bumper to make it more reisitent to such damage? I was considering installing an obstruction alarm on the front bumper to warn me when I am getting too close to a parking stone. Yes, I know, remembering to not get so close to such obstructions is the best advice. I am working on that.
Any help on this issue is greatly appreciated.
