New 500 SL R129 owner from Uruguay

Hello everyone!

Cheers from Uruguay. :)

Today I get my new 500 SL. I buy this car on Germany and imported to Uruguay.

Only have some pictures from port to home travel, so is dirty and has some damage due to poor bad handling.... Some id**ot run his truck over my 500sl...

As you can see in the second picture the front bumper hook cover is missing. Should I get it on ebay?

So, as I am new on this car. What should I look at?, what should I be careful about?

As soon as I get home from work I promess I will wash and wax the car.

I am very happy about this car. It is my new toy!!! :D

Thanks
Regards
Sebastián

Hello everyone!

This are some pictures I want to share with you.
Is when I bought the car on Germany.

What do you think???

I will try my best to give it a good wash and bring him shine again.

Now I have some issues whit the car. It has a coolant leak on the back of the engine. I think it can be heating radiator pipes or gearbox coolant hoses.

I am waitin for my workshop to find the problem....

Has any of you have the same problem after a few month of the car parked?

Regards

Sebastian: Your car looks very neat and I'm sure you will be enjoying it for a long time... these SL's seem to be indestructible! I own a beautiful silver 1999 SL600 and it is also, like you said, my toy!
The front part that is missing on your car is part #129 880 02 05
I know this because it once fell off of my car when the front air dam scraped over a tire-stop!. I think I paid about $124 for the new replacement which I never used because I found the original on the parking lot the next day... but I want to keep the new one as a spare for just in case I lose it again!
Enjoy your SL500 and best wishes! Guillermo

I lost the 129 880 02 05 cover on my '98 SL500... any chance you're ready to sell yours?
