Gents I need to remove the airbag cable in the picture, however it just does not come out!

its so I can fit a momo boss to the car, the boss fits but fouls the connector.
I did remove the whole black section however there is a cable which goes into the dash somewhere, so I guess this cannot ne removed easily.

any help would be appreciated thanks!
