Driver's window Auto operation problem
 

Car is a 1995 SL 320. Problem is the driver's window will not auto down or up when opening the outside or inside door handle or pressing the window down swithch or key in outside lock turning right and holding. The window works up and down by manually pressing the down or up switch and holding for desired window up or down amount. The passenger window works fine in manual and auto funcitions including opening and closing the door or with the window switch. What's wrong and how do I fix the problem? Thanks in advance.

are the windows sync'ed? since function is normal with the window switched, then I would look to the "brain" side of the system and that involves the auto down ( a few motor turns ) on opening so the air pressure can balance with door closure. Your owner manual will have the two button push and hold procedure.

Yes, I've tried syncing the windows. The passenger one works, the driver's one does not sync. The driver side switch will not operate the auto down function but the passenger one does. So, my driver's side auto down and up using the door handles, key or switch still doesn't work. Got any ideas of the cause and fix?
