1999 SL500, 2001 S430, 1998 Boxster, 1978 930
Trunk lid operation
A question from a new owner: When you open the trunk with the switch on the dash or the key fob, how far should it open? My S430 opens all the way and my SL500 opens about 2 to 3 inches. I was in the process of ordering new trunk lid struts and thought I should ask the forum first.

Mine has never opened more than about 3 inches.
