Dead Dash

Hi everyone!!! I have a 1991 500SL with the analog odometer. I have the dreaded instrument cluster that does nothing at all! The only thing that kinda works is the temp. I've already checked everything that could cause it go out, so Im sure that the cluster is just bad.

I know that I can send it off to get it fixed, but I was wondering if the newer digital odometer style cluster would work in my car?
Thank you so much in advance for your help!!

In late '93/early '94 the source of the speedometer speed signal changed from an inductive sensor on the transmission to a signal from the ABS/ASR controller. The voltage of those two signal sources are very different, so I suppose you need a cluster for a car made prior to calendar-year 1994.
