Thoughts about this '95 SL please.
https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/elk-grove-mercedes-sl-320/6962583880.html
Car has only 115K miles, but obviously some issues as described by the seller.
Car also comes with Hardtop and storage rack.
As I have no experience with the SL Roadster, I would appreciate your thoughts and input. Is this a good deal for 750 bucks, needing some elbow grease and repairs?
Any thoughts about the extend of the issues and repairs?
I realize the 320 is not as desirable as the 500. However, this price seems low and hopefully worth the efforts?
Thanks very much in advance.

Good price if body is in good shape the SL320 is a great car. But if all is original including wire harness head gasket and top cyls and you aint DIY and don't want to dump 6k and up, then I say run and don't look back. But as a good DIY project and you have some cash then I'd consider it. It does have fairly low miles for a M104 engine. My 94 SL320 started out that way 20k later I have a new condition SL320Originally Posted by S70Houston

Can't say I do ALL DIY, but I certainly do some things DIY.
Some more input from you in regards to why you think the SL320 is a great car would be appreciated.
Got a pic of your 320 you could share?
Thanks again.

The motor is bullet proof it's the same chassis as the 500 but more nimble in the canyons where weight is a factor when entering corners, less under steer (push) I guess I can say it goes where you point it. Yes a little less in the power department of the 500 but all as much of a luxury roadster only difference is the engine. Plus the 500 at over 20 yrs will need the same maintenance. I can speak of this cause I own a 94 SL320, 98 SL500 and 99 SL600 and drive them all hard.Originally Posted by S70Houston
