Here's one I've not run across....
So after nearly 4 decades of fixing, driving, selling, buying them, a new one on me...
02 SL500. The knob/button that is used to adjust the time on the right side of the cluster has broken off or separated itself from the inside. Hence, no clock adjustment. I'm trying to make this thing as close to perfect as possible and this just won't do... Anyone else been down this road? At the moment, I don't know anything to do except buy a used cluster off ebay and scavenge it for the button. Any further thoughts? Thanks if you do... |
Unfortunately scavenging is probably the only option. Maybe they used the same piece across multiple lines and you could get a cluster from a cheaper car. Or from a junkyard...

I think our cluster is available on the S class cars from the same era, not a whole lot cheaper.
